Frank Barton started trading back in the 1960’s serving the people of Hull and the East Riding with their motorcycle sales, repairs and maintenance needs. Frank was a skilled engineer who along with his apprentices built and raced motorcycle sidecar rigs and entered the world famous road race Isle of Man TT. Frank Started his business down Hessle Road and then moved to Brazil Street and finally moved to the current premises in the late 60’s/early 70’s on Popple Street.
The business evolved and grew over the years and has changed hands 5 times in total. The services offered moved to include repairs on Trikes, a reliant dealership and the introduction to service and repairs on your typical cars and vans.
Today’s business custodians are Dan and Jay who took over in 2021 from Allan who traded the previous 17 years and retired. Our ethos is to do a good job for a fair price.
The core business today is the MOT, service, diagnostic and repair of all makes and models of cars and light vans (MOT Class 4). We also MOT Motorcycles (Classes 1 & 2). We do offer some servicing and repairs to motorcycles, please enquire with your needs first. We do not currently offer Class 3 MOT, this is any vehicle that has 3-wheels like a trike or Reliant Robin.
